The 73rd FAMAS Awards became more than just a night of recognition—it was a celebration of legacy, artistry, and the enduring power of Philippine cinema. From legendary performers to today’s brightest stars, the evening highlighted stories of passion, perseverance, and purpose.

One of the night’s most moving moments came from Judy Ann Santos, who was honored with multiple distinctions: the FAMAS Nora Aunor Superstar Award, the FAMAS Ms. Face of the Night Celebrity Award, and the coveted FAMAS Child Icon Award. In her heartfelt speech, Judy Ann reflected on her decades-long journey:

“Mahirap manatili sa industriyang ito kung hindi ka totoo. I would like to offer this recognition to each and everyone na nakasama ko po sa industriya. Sila ang bumuo sa akin at habang buhay ko po ipagpapasalamat ang lahat ng pinagdaanan ko sa industriya. Hanggang ngayon, mahal ko ang industriyang kinalakihan ko.”

Her words resonated deeply, underscoring why she remains one of Philippine cinema’s most enduring and beloved figures.
The honor of the FAMAS Circle of Excellence Award was bestowed upon another legendary actress, Vilma Santos, further solidifying her unparalleled influence in film and public service.

Meanwhile, new triumphs were celebrated by today’s leading stars. Marian Rivera took home Best Actress for Balota, while Arjo Atayde earned Best Actor for his riveting performance in Topak. In his acceptance speech, Atayde shared:

“Receiving this year’s Best Actor Award is not just a recognition of my work but a validation of the passion and dedication I pour into every role… This serves as a powerful inspiration to continue pushing my boundaries and striving for excellence.”

The evening also highlighted diversity and representation. Vice Ganda, awarded Best Actor for And the Bread Winner Is, delivered a powerful message to the LGBTQ+ community:

“May this trophy, may this recognition, may this award inspire all the queer kids to embrace the endless possibilities that the world is offering you… Because as a queer person, your possibilities are limitless.”

Adding to the memorable wins, Nadine Lustre secured two distinctions: Best Supporting Actress for Uninvited and Female Star of the Night. Jeric Raval claimed Best Supporting Actor for Mamay, while Gladys Reyes, Niño Muhlach, and Ice Seguerra were all honored as FAMAS Child Icon Awardees, a tribute to stars whose journeys began in their youth.

The FPJ Kontrabida Memorial Award went to Dindo Arroyo, a recognition of his unforgettable roles that gave depth to Philippine cinema’s most iconic stories.

The new generation was also in the spotlight. Andres Muhlach and Atasha Muhlach were honored with the Male and Female German Moreno Youth Achievement Awards, symbolizing the bright future of show business. Meanwhile, Kelvin Miranda shone as the FAMAS Male Star of the Night, marking him as one of the industry’s fast-rising talents.

The 2025 FAMAS Awards was not just a recognition ceremony—it was a powerful reminder of the stories that shape Philippine cinema. From Judy Ann and Vilma’s timeless legacy to Vice Ganda and Arjo’s breakthrough moments, and to the new generation of artists stepping into the spotlight, the evening captured the true essence of what it means to be part of an ever-evolving but deeply beloved industry.
