The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) broke its silence on social media allegations questioning how it uses funds from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) — calling the claims “reckless and irresponsible.”

In an official statement released on November 11, the PFF reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and proper stewardship of public resources, saying it strictly follows all government auditing rules and internal controls to ensure every peso is properly allocated and documented.

“All PFF programs and expenditures are subject to rigorous internal and external review, including oversight by the PSC,” the federation said. It added that it has also hired an independent auditing firm to verify receipts and disbursements as part of its transparency efforts.

While the PFF said it welcomes fair and factual scrutiny, it condemned the spread of unfounded and malicious accusations online, warning that such claims not only damage the reputation of the federation but also hurt the PSC and the broader Philippine football community.

“Baseless allegations demean the dedication of athletes, coaches, and staff who work tirelessly to advance the sport,” the PFF stressed, adding that it reserves the right to take legal action against those spreading false claims.

The federation also expressed gratitude to the PSC for its continued financial, logistical, and policy support, emphasizing their shared goal of raising the standard of Philippine football and futsal.
