From Underdogs To Contenders, Farm Fresh Foxies Clinch Top 3 Finish

The Farm Fresh Foxies are no longer the PVL’s underdogs — they’re turning into one of the most exciting teams to watch this conference.

Once a squad just “full of promise,” the Foxies are now delivering results, pulling off a gritty 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 25-22 win over the Capital1 Solar Spikers at the Araneta Coliseum to close the prelims with a Top 3 finish in Pool A of the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference.

That victory marked their third straight win, securing them a spot in the next round where they’ll battle the lower-ranked teams from Pool B. But more than the numbers, it’s the way they’re playing — with confidence, composure, and cohesion — that’s turning heads.

Head coach Alessandro Lodi couldn’t hide his pride after the match.

“We are a team that fights. We are a team that never gives up,” he said. “We knew it would be a tough game, and we were absolutely prepared for it.”

Leading the charge once again was Belgian import Eli Rousseaux, who followed up her 38-point explosion in the previous match with another stellar 36-point performance, plus six digs to show she’s got the all-around game to back it up. She stayed cool under pressure, delivering clutch hits down the stretch to power the Foxies past a stubborn Capital1 side.

Local stars Trisha Tubu and Ces Molina were solid with 13 points each, while setter Alohi Robins-Hardy showed her class — dishing out 21 excellent sets (against Iris Tolenada’s 14) and adding nine points of her own. Molina also anchored the defense with 15 excellent receptions, showing she’s as reliable in the back row as she is in front.

After splitting the first two sets, Farm Fresh regrouped with sharper defense and steadier nerves. And when it mattered most — at 21-all in the fourth — they shut the door on Capital1 with a clutch block from Rizza Cruz, followed by a 3-0 finishing burst from Tubu and Molina.

It was a complete team win — the kind of performance that shows how much the Foxies have grown.

Just months ago, Farm Fresh was known more for potential than results. Now, they’ve got the firepower, the system, and the belief to challenge the league’s best.

Up next, they’ll face an even tougher test — an undefeated PLDT High Speed Hitters squad this Saturday at the Ynares Center in Montalban, Rizal. But if the past few weeks are any indication, these Foxies aren’t backing down from anyone.

As Robins-Hardy perfectly summed it up:

“I’m proud of the team and the progress we’ve made since the last conference. We’re fighting, learning, and growing our game.”

And right now, Farm Fresh isn’t just growing — they’re blooming beautifully into true contenders.
