Golden Voices Of Ligao: Local Choir Strikes Gold In South Korea

The Ligao National High School Voice Chorale once again proved that Filipino talent can shine on the world stage.
The group bagged top honors at the 2025 Busan Chorale Festival & Competition in South Korea — taking home the Gold Prize in the Youth Choir Category, the Silver Prize in the Ethnic Category, and Gold Diplomas in both divisions.
Their stunning performance captured not only the judges’ attention but also the hearts of the audience, showcasing the depth of Filipino artistry and discipline in choral singing.
Ligao City Mayor Fernando V. Gonzalez led the city in congratulating the young choristers, saying their victory brings “tremendous pride and inspiration” to Ligaoeños everywhere.
“Your voices carried the heart of Ligao to an international stage,” the city government said in a post celebrating the win.
The Busan Chorale Festival is one of Asia’s most prestigious choir competitions, bringing together world-class groups from across the globe. And this year, the voices from Ligao proved that passion, teamwork, and heart can turn dreams into gold.
