Gov. Gwen Garcia Checks On Cebu South Bus Terminal Ahead Of Holy Week Rush

Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia, along with LTFRB-7 Regional Director Eduardo Montealto, dropped by the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) this Wednesday noon, April 16, to personally check on the preparations for the expected Holy Week passenger surge.
According to CSBT management, around 80,000 passengers passed through the terminal during Holy Week last year—and they’re expecting the same number, if not more, this time around.
To help manage the influx of travelers, CSBT has stepped up its game. They’ve added more tellers at the ticketing office to ease long lines and wait times. On top of that, they’ve installed new “air blasters” to give their air-conditioning system a much-needed boost—because no one wants to wait for a bus while sweating it out in the Cebu heat.
With these improvements in place, Gov. Garcia and Director Montealto said they’re confident that passengers will have a more comfortable and organized experience during one of the busiest travel seasons of the year.
