Contrary to circulating reports, Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Teodoro Herbosa continues to perform his duties and even attended a House hearing today, according to the agency’s spokesperson.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro clarified that no preventive suspension order has been issued against Herbosa, dismissing speculation that the health chief had been sidelined.

“The Secretary remains in office and continues to carry out his responsibilities,” Castro affirmed, noting that Herbosa’s presence at the congressional proceedings earlier today underscores his active role at the department.

The Palace’s statement comes after rumors spread suggesting that Herbosa was under preventive suspension. Officials stressed that these claims are baseless and should not be taken as fact.

With this confirmation, Herbosa is set to continue steering the DOH amid ongoing health challenges, with Malacañang reiterating its confidence in his leadership.
