Huwag Magpaloko: Senator Bong Go Slams Fake AI Video, Urges Public To Stay Alert

Senator Bong Go isn’t holding back.
On May 10, he spoke out strongly against the circulation of an AI-generated fake video falsely showing him promoting an alleged investment program. The video, which also includes other personalities, is completely bogus — and the senator is making it very clear: he has nothing to do with it.
“I strongly condemn the malicious use of artificial intelligence to create and spread a fake video,” said Go. “The video is completely fabricated. It is a lie, engineered to mislead the public and damage my name.”
In his statement, Go emphasized that he has never — and will never — encourage people to invest in any such scheme. “Hindi po ako kailanman sang-ayon sa ganitong panlilinlang at paninira,” he said firmly.
He also made it clear that these kinds of attacks won’t distract him from his duty. “Hindi po ako matitinag ng mga ganitong klase ng paninira. My only focus remains — to serve the Filipino people with honesty, compassion, and hard work.”
Go acknowledged that this probably won’t be the last time disinformation is used to tarnish reputations, especially as AI tools become more accessible. That’s why he’s urging the public to be more careful and critical of what they see online.
He called on everyone to verify information before believing or sharing it. “Stay vigilant against fake news and AI-generated disinformation,” he added. “Isumbong agad sa otoridad ang anumang panlolokong malalaman ninyo.”
In an age where fakes can look more real than reality, Go’s message is simple but vital: Don’t be fooled — be smart, be alert, and always seek the truth.
