INC Urges Full Transparency In Flood-Control Scandal Probe

Iglesia Ni Cristo spokesperson Brother Edwil Zabala has issued a letter calling for those responsible for the alleged theft of hundreds of billions of pesos from the national treasury to be held accountable. Zabala said the church is peacefully observing the situation while praying for justice and stability in the country.
“It will not help if the Senate or the ICI investigation is stopped without transparency,” Zabala said.
He emphasized that an open and honest process is crucial to uncover the truth behind the widespread anomalies in flood-control projects. Without a clear and fair investigation, public trust could erode, and social unrest may worsen.
“The root of the theft of hundreds of billions of pesos from the national treasury must be held accountable. This is for justice and to prevent such abuses from happening again,” he added.
Zabala reiterated that Iglesia Ni Cristo continues to call for transparency, impartiality, and an investigation that is open and visible to the public.
