Tokyo’s beloved dining concept Hikiniku To Come has officially made its way to the Philippines, opening its first branch at Uptown Mall, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
This debut marks a major milestone for the brand — its first in the country and reportedly its largest branch to date, according to reports from GMA News and Spot.ph.
Recognized in Japan as the originator of the “on-the-rice” Hamburg concept, Hikiniku To Come is known for its simple yet flavorful signature dish: freshly ground beef patties grilled over binchotan charcoal and served directly on top of steaming Japanese rice.
Each set meal includes three 90-gram beef patties, miso soup, a raw egg, and unlimited rice, offering diners a satisfying and authentic taste of Japanese comfort food. True to its roots, every order is prepared fresh — customers can watch chefs grill the patties right in front of them through the restaurant’s counter-style dining setup, a hallmark of the brand’s interactive experience.
Even the rice is treated with meticulous care, cooked in a traditional high-pressure hagama pot to achieve that perfect, fluffy texture and aroma that complements the rich, smoky flavor of the hamburg steak.
The new branch is operated by Standard Hospitality Group (SHG) — the same team behind several popular Japanese dining concepts in Manila. During the launch, SHG executives and partners from Megaworld Lifestyle Malls were present to celebrate the restaurant’s opening.
Operating hours are Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m.–3 p.m. and 5 p.m.–11 p.m.; and Friday to Sunday, 10 a.m.–11 p.m.
With its arrival in BGC, Hikiniku To Come brings not just a meal but a culinary experience rooted in craftsmanship and simplicity — one that lets every sizzling bite tell the story of Japan’s love for rice, grill, and quality.
