Senator Jinggoy Estrada is strongly denying allegations that he was involved in anomalous flood control projects. The accusations were made by former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) assistant engineer Brice Hernandez.

The senator expressed his frustration, stating, "I got really angry. I cursed because this person is such a liar. First of all, I don't know him and I have never met that guy." Estrada pointed out that it would be illogical for him to participate in an investigation where his accuser was present if the allegations were true. "Just common sense," he said. "Will you think I will be actively participating in this investigation... if he gave me money? I should have abstained from that hearing, from this hearing."

Estrada maintains his innocence, citing his strong conviction that he did not commit any illegal acts. He also mentioned that District Engineer Alcantara, who was also implicated, has denied the claims made against him and another senator.

In a recent social media post, Senator Estrada issued a direct challenge to Hernandez. "I categorically and vehemently deny the claims made by Brice Hernandez. I challenge him. LET US TAKE A LIE DETECTOR TEST before the public so that everyone knows who is telling the truth. Talk is cheap — I am ready to prove that what he is saying about me are all lies."

The senator's firm rebuttal and a public challenge to a lie detector test highlight his determination to clear his name amidst the ongoing controversy.
