Kerwin Espinosa Wins Mayoral Race In Albuera, Leyte

Kerwin Espinosa, who previously admitted to being involved in illegal drugs, has just been elected Mayor of Albuera, Leyte, securing 10,939 votes.
In his first statement as mayor-elect, Espinosa said, “My top priority is peace and order. We’ll work on solving the drug problem here in Albuera. We’re going for zero tolerance on drugs.”
Earlier this year, on April 10, Espinosa was injured in a shooting incident during a campaign event in Barangay Tabgas. Despite that, he pushed through with his campaign—and now, he's set to lead the town.
