Lala Sotto Swears In Johnny Revilla As MTRCB Vice Chairperson

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) officially welcomed Juan “Johnny” Revilla as its new Vice Chairperson in a simple ceremony on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The oath of office was administered by Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto at the MTRCB Nida Blanca Conference Room.
Revilla’s appointment was signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. on November 7, 2025, marking the start of his tenure at the government agency responsible for regulating the country’s film and television industry.
A respected television and film actor, Revilla also served as a representative of the OFW Family Party List in 2013, bringing a wealth of experience from both the entertainment industry and public service to his new role.
The MTRCB expressed excitement over Revilla’s appointment, welcoming him to the team and highlighting his potential to contribute to the agency’s mission of promoting responsible media content.
Chairperson Sotto personally administered the oath, officially making Revilla the newest member of the MTRCB leadership.
