President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has formally administered the oath of office of former Transportation Secretary Vince B. Dizon as the new head of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Dizon takes on the challenge of leading one of the government’s largest agencies. His appointment comes at a time when the DPWH is under close public scrutiny, with infrastructure projects and flood control measures remaining at the center of national discussions.

By entrusting Dizon with the department’s leadership, President Marcos signals his administration’s push to strengthen infrastructure programs while addressing long-standing concerns in public works. Dizon’s track record in government service is expected to play a key role in advancing ongoing projects and aligning the agency’s priorities with the administration’s development agenda.

The oath-taking highlights the administration’s continuing efforts to ensure that key agencies are under firm and capable leadership, especially as the country faces pressing challenges in infrastructure development.
