Marcos Launches 'One RFID, All Tollways' For Seamless Travel Across Luzon

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has officially launched the Toll Collection System Interoperability Project, better known as “One RFID, All Tollways,” which aims to unify toll payment systems across Luzon’s major expressways.
The launch took place on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) Toll Operations Building in Calamba City, Laguna, marking a major step toward seamless travel for motorists who have long complained about maintaining multiple RFID tags.
During the event, President Marcos personally oversaw the registration process and interacted with RFID providers Autosweep and Easytrip, demonstrating how the new interoperable system works. Under this initiative, motorists will only need one RFID tag and one wallet account to access all participating expressways.
“This is part of our continuing effort to make road travel easier, faster, and more efficient for everyone,” Marcos said, calling the project a “testament to collaboration between the government and private sector.”
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) described the initiative as the result of years of coordination between agencies and toll operators, designed to enhance interoperability, ensure accurate balance tracking, and improve transaction speed.
The system underwent extensive testing beginning December 2023, focusing on real-time coordination between Autosweep (operated by San Miguel Infrastructure) and Easytrip (operated by the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation).
The registration for the unified RFID setup is voluntary, allowing existing subscribers to retain their accounts while opting into the single-tag system for convenience.
Once fully implemented, motorists will be able to travel across SLEX, NLEX, CALAX, STAR Tollway, TPLEX, and other connected expressways using one RFID tag — significantly reducing tollgate congestion and transaction delays.
