Marcos Speaks Out On Sen. Imee's Drug Allegations
FILE
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has finally broken his silence on Senator Imee Marcos’ shocking claims that he and the First Family are using illegal drugs — and his response was less political and more personal.
Marcos admitted he’s deeply worried about his sister, saying the person making those accusations isn’t the Imee he knows.
“We’ve been very worried about my sister… The lady you see talking on TV is not my sister. Hindi siya ’yan. I hope she feels better soon,” he told reporters.
The President also revealed that the two haven’t spoken in a while.
“We no longer travel in the same circles, political or otherwise,” he said, confirming the growing distance between them.
Imee earlier accused the President, the First Lady, and some of their children of illegal drug use — claims the Palace immediately labeled as false, insisting that Marcos had already passed a drug test during his 2021 campaign.
The President made it clear he doesn’t want their family issues turning into public drama. He said it goes against their values to “show our dirty linen in public,” choosing instead to frame the situation as concern for his sister’s well-being rather than engage in a public fight.
For now, the allegations remain unproven, and the rift between the siblings is more visible than ever.
