LG Australia has cemented its belief that the kitchen is the true heart of the home by partnering with MasterChef Australia to inspire home cooks to embrace their culinary confidence. The collaboration was celebrated with an exclusive event, "A Taste of the Good Life," which offered guests an immersive experience with LG's innovative kitchen technology.

Held shortly after the finale of MasterChef Australia Season 17, the event gathered media and influencers at the Are Media test kitchen in Sydney. Guiding the afternoon was third runner-up MasterChef contestant and LG ambassador, Declan Cleary. The event demonstrated how LG appliances simplify the cooking process for everyone, from kitchen novices to passionate home cooks.

Upon arrival, a unique touch of LG hospitality greeted guests, whose coats were steamed and refreshed using the LG Styler. Each guest also received an LG x MasterChef Australia apron and chef’s hat.

The program began with Shannon Tweedie, Home Appliance Solutions Marketing Manager at LG Australia, who outlined the story behind the partnership. Following this, product specialist Martin Kim demonstrated how the InstaView refrigerator contributes to better cooking by ensuring ingredients stay fresher for longer.

The highlight of the day was a cooking masterclass led by Declan Cleary. Working with Martin, Cleary showcased the versatility of the LG 6-in-1 InstaView oven, preparing a selection of dishes designed to spark ideas for everyday meals while walking guests through its various cooking modes.

Following the masterclass, guests participated in a series of three focused, interactive sessions. Cocktail specialist Jenna Hemsworth hosted a mixology session, demonstrating the effect of LG’s slow-melting craft ice on cocktails. Next, Are Media’s resident food stylist, Michelle Cranston, provided an educational food photography masterclass on plating and capturing professional-quality shots. Finally, Declan Cleary returned with his “sauce it, sear it, style it” workshop, where he highlighted the fast-heating capabilities of the LG Induction cooktop.

Throughout the event, LG also provided exposure to its broader home and entertainment lineup, including the CordZero vacuum and the OLED C5 TV.

In a playful nod to the iconic MasterChef Australia Mystery Box challenge, guests were invited to guess the number of ingredients stored inside the LG InstaView French Door Fridge. The lucky winner, announced at the end of the evening, took home their own fully stocked LG InstaView fridge.

Before departing, all guests were gifted co-branded cookware from LG and MasterChef Australia. The response to the event was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees praising both the practical demonstrations and the interactive workshop elements.

LG stated that the collaboration with MasterChef Australia is intended to do more than just showcase innovation; it aims to help Australians discover new confidence in the kitchen, reinforcing the message that when it comes to life at home, Life’s Good.
