Meralco Bags Four-Golden Arrow Award For Exemplary Corporate Governance

The Manila Electric Company (Meralco), led by business tycoon Manuel V. Pangilinan, continues to shine in the field of corporate governance after receiving a Four-Golden Arrow recognition from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).
Representing Meralco during the awarding ceremony held on October 23, 2025, in Pasay City was Atty. Jocelyn C. Villar-Altamira, Vice President and Head of Corporate Governance and Compliance.
The Golden Arrow Awards celebrate Philippine companies that demonstrate excellence in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) — a regional benchmark for transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership.
This latest recognition highlights Meralco’s unwavering commitment to integrity and good governance. It also reinforces the company’s dedication to aligning its operations with international best practices in corporate responsibility and ethical business conduct.
Earlier this year, Meralco was also recognized with the ASEAN Asset Class Award, naming it among the Top 35 publicly listed companies in Southeast Asia during the ASEAN Corporate Governance Conference and Awards held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on July 24, 2025.
