Relief washed over family and friends after authorities confirmed that missing bride-to-be Sherra de Juan has been found safe in the Ilocos Region, days after she was reported missing just before her wedding.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) announced Monday that De Juan had been located and is now under coordination for her safe return to Metro Manila. Police officers from QCPD Police Station 5, together with her family, immediately traveled to Ilocos to fetch her.
“Patungo na ang mga tauhan ng QCPD PS 5, kasama ang pamilya ni Sherra, upang ligtas at maayos siyang sunduin sa kanyang kinaroroonan. More or less 3 hours ang byahe, kaya inaasahang bandang alas-5:00 mamayang hapon ang pagdating dito sa Maynila.”
De Juan was reported missing by her fiancé, Mark Arjay Reyes, after she allegedly disappeared four days before their scheduled wedding on December 14. Her sudden absence sparked concern and prompted a police search.
Authorities have not yet released details on how or why De Juan ended up in Ilocos, saying further information will be disclosed after she is reunited with her family and properly interviewed.
For now, police and loved ones are focused on ensuring her safe return, marking a hopeful end to a distressing episode that unfolded just days before what was supposed to be a joyful milestone.
