Mitsubishi Xforce Makes Taiwan Debut After 9-Year Gap

Tokyo, January 6, 2026 — Mitsubishi Motors Corporation announced that China Motor Corporation (CMC) will begin sales of the Xforce compact SUV in Taiwan this January, marking the brand’s first newly developed, locally produced model in the market in nine years.
The Xforce will be manufactured at CMC’s Yangmei Plant, continuing a partnership that spans more than six decades. Designed as a five-seater compact SUV, the Xforce was developed under the concept “Best-suited buddy for an exciting life,” blending a rugged SUV look with everyday practicality.
Since its initial launch in Indonesia in November 2023, the Xforce has expanded across ASEAN markets including Vietnam and the Philippines, as well as regions such as Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. Mitsubishi Motors said the model has recorded around 62,000 cumulative sales worldwide, earning positive feedback for its stylish design, roomy cabin, and compact, easy-to-handle size.
For Taiwan, the Xforce has been tailored to meet Euro 6c emissions standards and comes equipped with features aimed at local buyers. These include a Level 2–equivalent advanced driver assistance system that integrates Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Keep Assist (LKA), a 10.25-inch digital display, and an exclusive blue exterior color developed specifically for the Taiwanese market.
