MRT-3 Deploys First 4-Car Dalian Train, Eases Commuter Congestion

Starting today, August 26, MRT-3 passengers can expect a more comfortable commute as the railway deployed its first-ever four-car Dalian train after passing all required safety checks.

The addition of a fourth car means each Dalian train set can now accommodate 500 more passengers, helping reduce queues during peak hours. These trains operate during rush hours, specifically from 7:00 to 9:00 AM and 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

This move comes in response to the President’s directive to make public transportation faster and more convenient for commuters. By increasing train capacity, MRT-3 aims to minimize overcrowding and improve travel experience for thousands of daily riders.

The deployment of the extended train marks another step toward modernizing the MRT system, giving hope for shorter lines and smoother rides for the commuting public.
