In just ten days—from August 1 to 10, 2025—a total of 2,727,643 Filipinos registered for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) .

According to Chairman George Erwin M. Garcia, this remarkable turnout is clear proof of the strong desire of every Filipino to have their voice heard for the future of the nation. Among the more than two million who participated, people from all walks of life showed that the right to vote is a duty worth embracing and protecting.

The country’s youth also played a significant role in this achievement. Chairman Garcia emphasized, “Indeed, the Filipino youth are those who truly stand firm in carrying the nation’s future on their shoulders.” Their presence and commitment reflect a renewed energy and sense of responsibility in shaping the country’s destiny.

As the voter registration period concluded, the Commission on Elections extended heartfelt gratitude to everyone who devoted their time, queued patiently, and responded to the call. In such a short period, one of the largest and most historic voter registration drives was successfully completed—a rare and inspiring milestone.

Chairman Garcia added, “Answering the call and rising to the challenge is an act of heroism for our nation. Long live all of you!”
