Pasig Court Orders Alice Guo's Transfer To Women's Correctional Facility

Former Bamban mayor Alice Guo is now set for transfer to the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong after the Pasig City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 167 denied her request to remain at the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory.
The ruling came after Guo’s conviction for qualified human trafficking tied to illegal POGO activities inside the Baofu Compound in Bamban, Tarlac — a case that earned her a life sentence. With the court’s commitment order issued, Guo and her two co-accused are formally placed under the custody of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).
According to BuCor, preparations are already in place. The agency said the three women will undergo standard admission procedures at CIW, including a medical examination, a mandatory five-day quarantine at the Reception and Diagnostic Center, and a 55-day assessment period before they are assigned to a regular dormitory.
The transfer, however, was briefly delayed after Guo filed a motion asking to remain inside the Pasig City Jail. With the court denying her request, her move to the CIW is now expected to proceed once coordination between BJMP and BuCor is completed.
The decision means Guo will no longer stay at the Pasig City Jail, where she had hoped to remain while pursuing legal remedies following her conviction.
