PBBM Orders Probe On Reported Use Of PH Sand By China In West PH Sea Reclamation
West Philippine Sea
Looks like President Bongbong Marcos isn’t letting this slide.

According to Malacañang, the President has already ordered an immediate investigation into the reported use of sand from Philippine coastal areas—particularly near the West Philippine Sea—by Chinese nationals for their reclamation projects in disputed waters.

This came after a bombshell revelation during a Senate hearing yesterday. The National Intelligence Coordinating Council (NICA) disclosed that sand taken from a municipality close to the WPS was allegedly used as landfill for China’s ongoing reclamation activities in the area.

Upon learning of the report, the President didn’t waste time. He directed authorities to dig into the matter right away, and as of now, an investigation is already underway. The Palace says they’re just waiting for the official findings to come out.

If proven true, this could be a serious breach—not just of our natural resources, but also of our sovereignty. Many are now closely watching how this issue will unfold, especially with tensions already high in the West Philippine Sea.
