The Philippine National Police (PNP) has confirmed that a tracker team is now on the move following the release of arrest warrants against nearly 50 individuals—among them, former presidential spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque and Cassandra Ong—in connection with a high-profile human trafficking case tied to a POGO operation in Porac, Pampanga last year.

Acting PNP Public Information Office Chief, PCOL. Randulf Tuaño, revealed that the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), led by PMGEN. Nicolas Torre III, is now actively pursuing those named in the warrants. These were issued by the Regional Trial Court in Angeles City, Pampanga.

The charges? Qualified human trafficking—a serious offense under Philippine law. The case stems from a POGO raid in 2023, where authorities uncovered suspected illegal activities, including the alleged exploitation of foreign nationals working under questionable conditions.

While Roque and Ong have yet to issue formal public responses, their inclusion in the list has drawn significant public and media attention, especially considering Roque’s high-profile legal and political background.

As the tracker team moves into action, more updates are expected in the coming days. For now, all eyes are on how this case unfolds and what it could mean for the ongoing scrutiny of POGO operations in the country.
