President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. recently administered the oath of office to Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro as the new Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), marking a significant moment for Philippine diplomacy. The ceremony, held at Malacañang, followed the President’s conferment of the prestigious Order of Sikatuna, Grand Cross (Datu), Gold Distinction upon Lazaro—a recognition of her outstanding contributions and decades of dedicated service in the field of foreign relations.
