The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) rebounded on Thursday, December 11, closing at 5,990.00, up 30.06 points or 0.50%, showing renewed optimism among local investors.
Market activity remained steady with a total value turnover of ₱7.0 billion. Out of all listed stocks, 100 advanced, 103 declined, and 62 stayed unchanged, reflecting mixed market sentiment.
Foreign investors were net sellers again, with ₱3.35 billion in foreign buying and ₱4.11 billion in foreign selling, resulting in a net foreign outflow of ₱761.25 million.
Despite the continued foreign selling, analysts say the PSEi’s gain shows that local investors are taking advantage of opportunities, pushing the index closer to the 6,000-point milestone as the year-end trading season heats up.
