The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) started the week on a weak note, closing at 6,000.32 on October 6, 2025 — down 108.54 points or 1.78%.

Market turnover reached ₱12.1 billion, with 64 gainers, 139 losers, and 58 unchanged issues.

Foreign investors remained cautious, recording ₱2.31 billion in buying versus ₱2.65 billion in selling, resulting in net foreign selling of ₱341 million.

The decline comes as traders weighed global market volatility and domestic growth concerns, pushing the index closer to the key 6,000 psychological level.
