The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) inched higher on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, closing at 6,076.22, up by 23.89 points or 0.39%, as investors picked up bargains in select blue-chip shares.

Market activity remained moderate, with total trades reaching ₱6.1 billion. Of the listed issues, 102 advanced, 87 declined, while 62 were unchanged, reflecting a generally positive but cautious trading mood.

Foreign investors were still net sellers, logging ₱3.33 billion in buying against ₱3.67 billion in selling — resulting in a net foreign outflow of ₱345.88 million.

Analysts said the market’s uptick suggests continued resilience amid mixed global cues and cautious optimism ahead of upcoming economic data releases.

While the PSEi’s gains were modest, traders noted that the index managed to stay above the 6,000 mark, signaling renewed investor confidence after recent bouts of volatility.
