The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) ended slightly lower on Friday, October 10, 2025, as investors booked profits and stayed cautious amid lingering global and local market uncertainties.
The PSEi closed at 6,037.79, down 19.61 points or 0.32%, marking a modest pullback after a relatively quiet trading week.
According to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), total value turnover stood at ₱6.3 billion, with 79 gainers, 97 losers, and 65 unchanged issues—reflecting a generally mixed sentiment among traders.
Foreign investors were net sellers for the day, logging ₱3.14 billion in foreign buying versus ₱4.15 billion in foreign selling. This resulted in a net foreign outflow of ₱1.01 billion, continuing the recent trend of foreign fund withdrawals from local equities.
Market watchers noted that the index’s decline came as investors weighed mixed global cues and awaited fresh economic data that could influence monetary policy directions in the coming weeks.
Despite the dip, analysts say the market remains within a consolidation phase, with investors keeping an eye on key catalysts such as inflation data, peso performance, and corporate earnings results.
