The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) closed lower on Friday, November 7, 2025, dropping 76.22 points or 1.31 percent to finish at 5,759.37, as investors took profits and remained cautious amid global market volatility.

Trading remained active, with a total value turnover of ₱14.1 billion. Market breadth leaned negative, with 117 decliners, 72 advancers, and 52 unchanged.

Foreign investors, however, continued to show strong interest, posting net foreign buying of ₱4.98 billion, after ₱9.46 billion in foreign buying against ₱4.48 billion in selling.

Analysts said the market’s decline reflected investors’ mixed sentiment on both global and local economic outlooks, with traders adjusting portfolios ahead of key corporate earnings and monetary policy updates.

Despite the dip, analysts noted that sustained foreign inflows could provide support for the market in the coming sessions, signaling that investor confidence in Philippine equities remains intact.
