PSEi Slips As Mining And Oil Drags Market; Property, Industrials Show Strength

The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) slipped slightly on Monday, closing at 6,084.07, down by 5.46 points or 0.09%, as losses in Mining & Oil and Financials weighed on the market.

The All Shares Index likewise dipped by 3.16 points (-0.09%), reflecting a generally cautious trading day as investors awaited new economic cues.

Among the sectoral indices, Mining & Oil posted the biggest loss, plunging 2.54%, followed by Services (-0.61%) and Financials (-0.56%).
On the bright side, Property rose 0.55%, buoyed by optimism in the real estate sector, while Industrials added 0.28%, showing some resilience.

• Decliners: 122
• Unchanged: 50

Foreign investors were net sellers for the day, with ₱1.56 billion in foreign buying versus ₱1.68 billion in foreign selling, resulting in a net outflow of ₱118.81 million.

Despite the mild dip, traders noted that the index remains within a narrow range, with investors staying cautious amid mixed global market signals and upcoming local data releases.
