PSEi Slumps As Market Closes Lower-Foreign Selling Drags Sentiment

The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) continued its downward trend on Monday, November 3, 2025, closing at 5,828.06, down by 101.62 points or 1.71% as investors opted to lock in gains amid lingering market uncertainties.
Market activity was relatively subdued, with total trades reaching ₱9.8 billion. Out of the listed issues, 56 advanced, 134 declined, and 62 remained unchanged.
Foreign investors were net sellers, recording ₱5.56 billion in buying versus ₱6.88 billion in selling — resulting in a net foreign outflow of ₱1.33 billion.
Across the board, most sectoral indices ended in the red:
• Financials fell the hardest, down 3.33%,
• Mining & Oil slipped 2.11%,
• Property dropped 1.97%, and
• Industrial lost 1.24%.
Only the Services sector managed to stay slightly positive, edging up 0.03%.
Analysts said investors remain cautious ahead of global market data releases and local economic reports this week.
