The test run is officially over. At exactly 11:59 PM on April 12, 2025 (Philippine Standard Time), the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) wrapped up the Test Voting Period for Filipinos registered under the Online Voting and Counting System (OVCS).

This “practice round,” as laid out in COMELEC Resolution No. 11061, gave registered overseas voters (ROVs) a chance to get comfortable with the new online voting system. Think of it as a virtual dry run—no pressure, no actual votes cast—just a hands-on way to explore how everything works before the real deal.

And now, it is the real deal.

Starting today, April 13, 2025, the Overseas Voting Period is officially open. Filipinos abroad can now cast their votes for the 2025 National and Local Elections, anytime up until 7:00 PM PST on May 12, 2025—perfectly in sync with voting hours back home in the Philippines.

So if you’re a registered overseas voter, it’s time to make your voice heard. You’ve got one full month—don’t miss your chance to participate in shaping the country’s future, no matter where you are in the world!

Stay tuned for updates and tech tips straight from the National Technical Support Center in Pasay City, where the action is being closely monitored.

Your vote counts. Your vote travels. So vote!
