Newly appointed Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla has vowed to revisit the controversial Pharmally corruption case, which was earlier investigated by the Senate over allegedly overpriced COVID-19 medical supplies worth more than ₱10 billion.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, October 9, after taking his oath as Ombudsman, Remulla said the case deserves renewed attention.
He added that while the Senate once conducted hearings on the matter, progress had since stalled. Kaya kailangan bisitahin natin,” he noted.
Remulla stressed the importance of accountability and transparency, saying that cases like Pharmally should never be buried and forgotten.
