The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued a Cease and Desist Order against Microdot Lending Corporation for operating undisclosed online lending platforms, namely Credit Peso Pro and MF Cash.

According to the agency, the order was prompted by the firm’s continued non-compliance with lawful directives and numerous complaints from borrowers alleging unfair debt-collection
practices.

“The SEC has issued a Cease and Desist Order against Microdot Lending Corporation for operating undisclosed online lending platforms (OLPs) known as Credit Peso Pro and MF Cash, for its continuous non-compliance with lawful orders of the Commission, and in response to multiple complaints of unfair debt-collection practices,” the SEC stated.

The action forms part of the SEC’s continuing campaign to shut down unregistered or abusive online lenders and to protect consumers from predatory collection tactics.

The Commission again urged the public to deal only with licensed and fully disclosed lending companies listed on its official website.
