SEC Rings The Bell for Smarter Investing

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in partnership with The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE), rang the bell for financial literacy earlier today at the PSE Tower in BGC, Taguig City — officially kicking off the celebration of World Investor Week (WIW) and Investor Protection Week (IPW) 2025.
World Investor Week is a global campaign by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) that encourages regulators worldwide to promote investor protection and financial literacy.
This year’s theme shines a light on Technology and Digital Finance, Artificial Intelligence, and Fraud and Scam Prevention — a timely reminder that in today’s fast-evolving digital world, staying informed means staying protected.
In his message during the ceremony, SEC Chairperson Francis Lim emphasized that financial literacy is the foundation of investor protection, reaffirming the Commission’s commitment to education and collaboration for a safer, more trusted investment environment.
The SEC will continue to host activities throughout October, leading up to Investor Protection Week, happening from November 10 to 14.
