QUEZON CITY — Senator Jinggoy Estrada isn’t letting this one slide. On Tuesday, October 7, the lawmaker filed a perjury complaint against former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) engineer Brice Hernandez, accusing him of giving false testimony that dragged his name into alleged flood control anomalies.

Estrada personally went to the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office to file the case, stressing that Hernandez’s claims were nothing but “malicious and fabricated.”

“This is not just about me—it’s about defending the truth,” Estrada said, insisting that the accusations were designed to smear his reputation.

The senator maintained that he had no involvement in any irregularities linked to flood control projects, and that Hernandez’s statements were meant to mislead investigators and the public.

Hernandez has yet to issue a statement on the fresh case filed against him.
