She’s back — and she means business.
After six long months of recovery from a knee injury, Tots Carlos finally made her much-awaited return to the court, suiting up once again for the Creamline Cool Smashers in the opening game of the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference on Saturday night.
Her comeback, though inspiring, came with mixed emotions as Creamline bowed to Akari in a nail-biting five-set duel, 25-23, 23-25, 28-30, 25-23, 12-15, at the Dasmariñas Arena.
“Well, it was a bit complicated kasi yung injury ko. So, we had to figure out talaga kung ano yung nagwo-work sa 'kin,” Carlos shared after the match. “It took me a lot of patience and discipline to get back.”
And get back she did — with a solid 12-point performance, reminding everyone why she’s a three-time PVL MVP and one of the league’s most explosive scorers.
It was her first game since the Game 3 finals of the 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference, and though Creamline didn’t get the win, fans saw a glimpse of the old Tots — confident, powerful, and fearless.
“The mindset was key,” she said. “Injuries are frustrating, but I learned to be patient and appreciate the process. I’m just really happy to be back.”
Now with her eyes set on regaining top form, Tots Carlos is ready to help the Cool Smashers chase the Reinforced Conference crown — one game, one point, one comeback at a time.
