The Southern Police District (SPD) Drug Enforcement Unit, working hand in hand with the Parañaque City Police Station, struck a major blow against illegal drug operations after arresting four high-value individuals (HVIs) in a buy-bust operation on Tuesday afternoon, August 20, 2025.

The operation unfolded at around 4:45 p.m. inside a residence along Ninoy Aquino Avenue in Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City. The primary target was a 29-year-old man known by the alias “Lex,” identified by authorities as a high-value drug personality.

As soon as the illicit transaction was confirmed, police operatives moved in and arrested Lex along with three accomplices: “Yans,” 34; “Ali,” 45; and “Giann,” 29. All four are considered high-value targets under the Philippine National Police (PNP) classification system.

Seized during the sting were six heat-sealed plastic sachets containing what is believed to be shabu, weighing over 300 grams in total. The illegal drugs are estimated to have a street value of ₱2,040,000 based on the Standard Drug Price index.

Police also recovered various pieces of evidence, including an iPhone, a blue Itel analog phone, a long white envelope, and the buy-bust money, which consisted of a genuine ₱1,000 bill and 49 pieces of ₱1,000 boodle money.

The suspects are now under police custody and will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Meanwhile, the confiscated narcotics and other seized items have been turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for laboratory analysis.

Authorities emphasized that this successful operation reflects their commitment to dismantling drug networks and pursuing high-value targets within Metro Manila.
