Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has filed plunder and graft complaints before the Office of the Ombudsman against former President Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Christopher Go, alleging the awarding of multi-billion-peso infrastructure contracts to companies linked to the Go family.
Trillanes filed the complaint on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, naming Go’s father and brother as owners of the construction firms CLTG Builders and Alfrego Builders, which, according to the complaint, were awarded several government projects in the Davao Region. The complaint further alleges that some of the contracts were entered into as joint ventures with St. Gerrard Construction, a firm owned by the Discaya family.
According to Trillanes, the projects were granted during the Duterte administration and may have violated the Anti-Plunder Law (Republic Act No. 7080), the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act (RA 3019), and the Code of Conduct for Public Officials (RA 6713).
He said the complaint seeks accountability for what he described as “clear abuse of power and public trust.”
As of publication, neither Duterte nor Go has issued an official statement on the filing. The Office of the Ombudsman will review the complaint to determine whether a formal investigation will proceed.
