After more than two decades away from the Wolfgang stage, original drummer Wolf Gemora is finally coming home.
Gemora arrived in Manila on Friday, January 9, flying in from the United States to kick off intensive rehearsals for the highly anticipated Wolfgang Reunion Concert set for February 7 at the New Frontier Theater. The show is part of the band’s 30th anniversary celebration—and for fans, it marks a long-awaited historic comeback.
“Happy weekend, Manila! 🇵🇔 Gemora shared excitedly on his social media. He said the next four weeks will be packed with intense rehearsals, but he’s also looking forward to catching local bands and indulging in his favorite Filipino food.
The reunion is especially meaningful as it will be Gemora’s first time performing with Wolfgang in 23 years. He last played with the band during their most productive era from 1995 to 2001, when Wolfgang released a string of best-selling and critically acclaimed albums, including their self-titled debut, Semenelin, Wurm, Serve in Silence, Acoustica, and Black Mantra.
Guitarist Manuel Legarda said the reunion brings back a lot of history for the band. He shared that Gemora was part of Wolfgang’s very beginning and that revisiting those years onstage feels deeply personal. Legarda added that if their late bandmate Mon Legaspi were still alive, he would have shared the same excitement—and that the fans who have long hoped for this reunion are very much part of the celebration.
Vocalist Basti Artadi echoed the sentiment, saying he’s excited to reconnect with fans and bring them back to a time when music mattered most. He described the concert as a “metal oasis,” where fans and band come together in a shared moment of nostalgia and energy.
Following Gemora’s departure in 2002, Wolfgang continued with drummer Francis Aquino and released Villains in 2008, followed by the mini-album Ang Bagong Dugo Sa Lumang Ugat – Unang Kabanata in 2012.
Tickets for the Wolfgang Reunion Concert, presented by Ovation Productions with Blast TV as official media partner, went on sale last December 8 via ticketnet.com.ph and quickly sold out in all seated sections. As of now, VIP standing tickets closest to the stage remain available, priced at ₱5,700.
“We hope to see you at the Wolfgang Reunion Concert this February 7,” Gemora said, moments before his flight from Los Angeles to Manila—signaling the countdown to one of the most awaited rock reunions in local music history.
