In a move that surprised many, Architect Shamcey Supsup-Lee has officially stepped down from her involvement with the “Kaya This” team. In a statement, she shared that the decision came after some serious soul-searching and reflection.

“When I joined the team, it was with sincere hope that we could work together for meaningful change,” Shamcey began. But as time went on, she realized that the path the team was taking no longer aligned with her core beliefs—especially those shaped by her experiences as a woman, a mother, and a leader.

“I choose to stand firmly by the values I’ve upheld throughout my life: dignity, respect, accountability, and women empowerment,” she emphasized.

Shamcey was quick to express gratitude to the team for the opportunity and wished everyone well moving forward. But her message also made it clear that stepping away was her way of staying true to herself and the principles she’s always advocated for—especially as a prominent figure in the Miss Universe Philippines Organization and a role model to many young women.
