It’s a difficult time for singer and actor Kean Cipriano, who recently opened up on social media about the heartbreaking loss of his beloved mom, Chona Cipriano.

In an emotional post, Kean poured his heart out, saying the pain came too fast, too hard, and too heavy to fully grasp. “Napakasakit. Napakabilis ng mga pangyayare. Nakakatakot. Nakakayanig,” he wrote—words that cut deep for anyone who’s ever had to say goodbye to someone they love.

He recalled the heartbreak of watching his mother in pain, saying she didn’t deserve the suffering she went through. “Sobra akong nalulungkot dahil deserve mo pang mas makilala ang sarili mo at maexperience pa ang beauty ng buhay kasama ng mga taong mahal mo,” he shared.

But even amid the grief, Kean finds peace knowing her pain is over. And in the quiet moments, he still feels her presence—through music, in the breeze, and in the overwhelming outpour of love from people whose lives his mother touched.

“Ang daming nagmamahal sayo, Mommy,” he said, touched by how many people remembered his mom as someone with a kind heart—“walang masamang tinapay.”

Kean’s gratitude for having shared life with her is deeply felt. “Salamat sa pagmamahal. Salamat sa lahat lahat,” he wrote, thanking her for every hug, every kiss, every reminder to slow down and not let work consume him.

Now, as he faces the painful reality of living life without her, Kean holds onto her love as his guide. “Ang bigat. Ang lungkot. Pero yung pagmamahal mo ang dadalhin ko para umusad.”

Kean, known to many as “Keanpot,” ended his post with the simplest but deepest of truths: “Mahal na mahal kita.”
