In a tragic turn of events, a 14-year-old female fell victim to a fatal shooting within her residence in Barangay Cansojong, City of Talisay, Cebu, on Friday morning, April 26, 2024. The incident has prompted the Talisay City Police to initiate a thorough investigation, aiming to bring justice to the grieving family and the community at large.

Authorities were alerted to the shooting when the Deputy Security Guard of Cebu South Medical Center reported a shooting victim hospitalized. Preliminary findings suggest the victim was shot by an assailant inside her own home. However, specific details surrounding the incident are still under investigation.

Despite immediate medical attention at Cebu South Medical Center, the victim succumbed to her injuries upon arrival, as confirmed by attending medical personnel. Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) have been dispatched to meticulously process the crime scene, gathering crucial evidence to aid in the investigation.
