United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken is scheduled to embark on his second visit to the Philippines from 18 to 19 March 2024. During his stay in Manila, Secretary Blinken will engage in discussions with Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique Manalo, focusing on the strengthening of bilateral ties and the enhancement of the Philippines-United States alliance.

One of the primary topics of conversation will revolve around expanding economic cooperation between the two nations, with an emphasis on fostering trade and investment opportunities. Both parties will underscore the importance of economic resilience in bolstering national security efforts.

Secretary Blinken's visit comes shortly after the U.S. Presidential Trade and Investment Mission, led by Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, concluded its productive visit to the Philippines. The upcoming talks between Secretary Blinken and Secretary Manalo are expected to delve into broader regional issues, further solidifying the strategic partnership between the two countries.
