Unreleased Beyonce Tracks And Tour Plans Reportedly Stolen In Atlanta SUV Break-In

Authorities in Atlanta are investigating the reported theft of unreleased Beyoncé music and confidential tour materials following a vehicle break-in involving members of the artist’s team.
On the evening of July 8, Beyoncé’s longtime choreographer and dancer, Christopher Grant, along with Diandre Blue, alerted local police after discovering the rear window of their black Jeep Wagoneer rental had been smashed. The SUV was parked near Krog Street Market, a bustling location in the city’s east side. According to a police report obtained by Atlanta’s WSB-TV, two suitcases were stolen from the vehicle—containing not only personal items like clothes, laptops, designer sunglasses, and AirPods, but also highly sensitive materials tied to Beyoncé’s ongoing Cowboy Carter Tour.
Among the stolen contents were hard drives reportedly containing watermarked, unreleased Beyoncé tracks, future setlists, and production plans—including footage for upcoming performances in Atlanta.
In a statement released to Billboard, the Atlanta Police Department confirmed that officers responded to the reported theft and that their Larceny from Auto Unit has taken over the investigation. Police say they have secured an arrest warrant for a suspect, though the individual’s identity has not yet been made public and no arrests have been made as of Tuesday. A person of interest has been questioned.
The timing of the incident is particularly sensitive, as Beyoncé had already performed three shows in Atlanta as part of her Cowboy Carter Tour, with a fourth and final concert scheduled for Monday, July 14, at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. During Sunday night’s show (July 13), the artist surprised fans by bringing out her husband, Jay-Z, for special renditions of “Crazy in Love” and “Public Service Announcement.”
Billboard has reached out to both Beyoncé’s representatives and the Atlanta Police Department for further comment. For now, the investigation continues, with much of the stolen creative material still unaccounted for—raising concerns not just about the security of the artist’s unreleased work, but also the integrity of future shows still to come.
