UP-PGH Brings Healthcare Closer To Home With New Clark City Clinic For Tarlac, Pampanga Residents

Good news for folks in Tarlac and Pampanga. The University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) has opened its Sports Medicine and Wellness Center in New Clark City — and it’s not just for athletes anymore.
What started as a polyclinic for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games is now stepping up to serve the everyday health needs of the growing community around New Clark City. Whether you’re a student, an employee, an athlete, or a local resident, the clinic is now offering basic medical and dental services, right where you need it.
Located at the heart of the National Government Administrative Center, the clinic welcomes walk-ins every Wednesday and Friday from 10 AM to 2 PM. And if you’re too busy to drop by, don’t worry — telemedicine services are available from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 3 PM. So yes, even if your schedule is packed, getting a check-up just got a whole lot easier.
“This is really about putting people first,” said BCDA President and CEO Joshua Bingcang. “As New Clark City grows, we want to make sure that access to quality healthcare grows with it. UP-PGH’s clinic helps make that happen.”
And this is just the beginning. There are plans in the pipeline to expand the facility into a full 200-bed hospital and even add specialized sports medical services. Imagine that — a world-class health and sports complex right in Central Luzon.
The project is a joint effort between the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and MTD Clark Inc. under the New Clark Government Center Corporation. The clinic had already proven its value during the pandemic when it was used by the Capas Municipal Government, and now it’s becoming a permanent health fixture in the area.
With New Clark City evolving into a major hub for sports, government, and business, having UP-PGH in the mix is a big win for public health. More than just treating illnesses, it’s about building a healthier, stronger community for everyone.
