Wage Hike In Metro Manila: Daily Minimum Wage To Increase By P50 Starting July 18
FILE
The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – National Capital Region (RTWPB-NCR) has officially approved a ₱50 increase in the daily minimum wage for workers in Metro Manila. This adjustment, formalized under Wage Order No. NCR-26, will take effect on 18 July 2025.

With the new wage order, workers in the non-agriculture sector will see their daily minimum wage rise from ₱645 to ₱695. Meanwhile, those employed in agriculture (both plantation and non-plantation), service and retail establishments with 15 or fewer workers, and manufacturing establishments regularly employing fewer than 10 workers will receive an increase from ₱608 to ₱658.

This wage adjustment is part of the government’s continuing efforts to address the rising cost of living in the National Capital Region (NCR) and improve the purchasing power of minimum wage earners. The National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) emphasized that the increase aims to strike a balance between the needs of workers and the capacity of businesses, especially micro and small enterprises, to absorb the wage hike.
