Xian Lim Earns Commercial Pilot License: 'This Is Only The Beginning'

Actor and filmmaker Xian Lim has just added a new title to his growing list of achievements—licensed commercial pilot.
In an emotional and inspiring Instagram post, Lim shared the news with his followers, writing, “CPL! Commercial Pilot License! ✈️ I still can’t believe it.” His post radiated both disbelief and gratitude, capturing a major milestone in what has been a deeply personal and transformative journey.
Lim, who trained under Top Flite Aviation Academy, expressed heartfelt thanks to his mentors, instructors, and fellow cadets for pushing him past his limits and supporting him through every flight, maneuver, and challenge. “Everything happened so fast,” he said. “But you were there to guide me every moment, every step of the way.”
Particularly moving was his tribute to his instructors, including Capt. Chiclet Pecson, whom he thanked for her unwavering patience and for believing in his potential, even during the toughest moments. He fondly recalled her insistence on repetition and resilience—“Susuka pero ‘di susuko,” as he humorously put it.
Beyond the technical achievements, Lim underscored the emotional and psychological demands of pilot training—acknowledging the failed exams, rough flights, and the internal doubts. But just as much, he highlighted the power of community. His classmates—whom he affectionately referred to as his "wingmen" and "BT partners"—formed a vital support system, encouraging one another with every setback and cheering each other on at every milestone.
