Today, Julie “Totoy” Aguilar Patidongan formally filed his Complaint-Affidavit with the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM), naming several Philippine National Police (PNP) officers allegedly involved in the widely publicized case of the missing sabungeros. Patidongan was joined by the families of the missing individuals, who continue to seek truth and justice for their loved ones.

The filing was carried out under the leadership of NAPOLCOM Vice Chairperson and Executive Officer Rafael Vicente R. Calinisan, who oversaw the process to ensure the swift and proper lodging of administrative charges. This development represents a meaningful step forward in the ongoing pursuit of truth, justice, and accountability in a case that has captured national attention.

During a press conference after submitting his complaint, Patidongan identified the police officers named in the affidavit: Police Colonel Jacinto Malinao Jr., Police Lieutenant Colonel Ryan Jay Orapa, Police Major Mark Philip Almedilla, Police Executive Master Sergeant Aaron Ezrah Cabillan, Police Chief Master Sergeant Arturo dela Cruz Jr., Police Staff Master Sergeants Joey Encarnacion, Mark Anthony Manrique, and Anderson Abale, as well as Police Staff Sergeant Alfredo Andres.

In a statement, NAPOLCOM reaffirmed its commitment to its mandate of instilling discipline and integrity within the police service, emphasizing that upholding the rule of law remains central to its mission of public service. As the case moves forward, the families and advocates continue to hope that these proceedings will shed light on the truth and pave the way for justice to finally be served.
